What are the latest trends in stone Outdoor Fireplaces?

We have written about stone outdoor fireplaces in Charlotte for quite awhile now. The outdoor fireplace and firepit is no longer a fad. We believe it is here to stay! The reason we believe that is after 5 straight years of sales increases in outdoor fireplaces, we now see trends changing but not the purchase. We used to just see an outdoor fireplace or firepit as a stand alone product. Now the trends with outdoor fireplaces are they are often integrated into screen porches, decks, and patios with sitting walls. They are a mainstay in the backyard as part of the social movement to the outdoors. There is definitely a trend towards wood burning away from the gas only. We still see high demand for a gas starter but wood burning fireplace. The trend also is to stone and not brick.
