Do I really need a bath tub for resale value? It depends which realtor you ask! Our experience at Value Remodelers and Handyman Services suggests as long as you have one in a guest or childrens bathroom, the master bath no longer requires a bath tub!
The trend today with homeowner’s remodeling their master bathrooms is to have us remove the existing tubs and enlarge the shower area for more comfort and perhaps multiple shower heads, benches, niches, body sprays, steam, etc….
The master baths that currently have tubs take up a lot of space in the bathroom and unless there is an owner who regularly uses it, we have found that a large shower is much preferred over a bath tub for the master!

Bathroom remodel with tile and free-standing tub in Gastonia,NC
Bathroom remodeling is much hotter than kitchen remodeling and it should be. When a consumer hires a professional remodeler to update their home, on average they have a minimum of 3-4 bathrooms and only one kitchen!
Bathroom remodeling can mean something as simple as updating the flooring, changing out the counter top, or simply all of the bathroom fixtures. Most of the time, we are seeing people replace the commode, the vanity, totally renovate the shower, add new framed mirrors, and add brushed nickel or oil-rubbed bronze fixtures.
The complete shower renovations begins with a new mud pan, installing tile on the floor and walls, plumbing for multiple shower heads and body sprays, and benches.
What should all of this cost? Obviously it depends on the scope of work and the materials selected. Another factor is whether you are remodeling your master bath or simple powder room. What you can expect in the Charlotte, NC market for a total master bath remodel is to invest between $25,000 – $40,000!
